Book I · The Guild
Ch.1 Wake up! (the basics)
This chapter has 6 quests. You clear them by doing real work with your crew. Each one gives your agents XP.
Picture a castle that forgot to turn the lights off for about a thousand years. Stone towers, banners, a drawbridge. Now add neon. Holographic flags. Rune rings humming over the courtyard like ceiling fans from the future. That's the Guild Hall, and right now it's asleep. Dusty. Kind of sad, honestly.
Then you show up. Well, a little you. The Hall scans you once (beep, boop, very polite) and builds your Main Character: a pocket-sized Commander with your hair, your style, and a cape you totally didn't ask for but now can't live without. Congrats. You're the boss of this place. The castle is not sure about that yet.
Next, the Hall asks you a few questions about your work. What kind of business? What eats your day? It's not being nosy. It's tuning the whole castle to fit how you actually work, like a knight adjusting the armor before the fight.
Then the big moment. You make your first agent. Maybe you pick one off the shelf, maybe you build your own. Either way, a tiny hero blinks awake on the table, stretches, and looks at you like, "Okay, boss. What are we doing?"
Here's the secret of the Guild: heroes need gear, and gear is just the tools you already use. Your email, your calendar, your files. Strap one on, and your agent gets a glowing new sword. Then hand it a to-do. Any to-do. Watch it run off to do it.
And the last lesson of the morning, the most important one: nothing leaves the castle until someone checks it. Your agent's work goes to the double-check. You look. You OK it. The Hall's lights flicker on, one tower at a time.
The castle is awake now. So are you.
