Book I · The Guild
Ch.3 Get to work
This chapter has 9 quests. You clear them by doing real work with your crew. Each one gives your agents XP.
Every guild has that moment in the old stories where the heroes finally leave the castle. The drawbridge drops. Trumpets play. The party walks out into the big glowing world, past floating islands and tunnels where little light-capsules zip from district to district.
Here's the twist: the dragons out there are your to-dos. The swamp is your inbox. The ancient curse is that one follow-up you keep forgetting. And honestly? That's way more satisfying to beat than a dragon.
You tap the big button that says "Get to work!" and your crew scatters. One agent sits down to write email replies. Another grabs a stack of listings. Somebody pulls a routine off the library shelf, a spell scroll with the steps already written, and reads it out loud. The new-client routine. The daily route. The steps run, the work lands back on your desk, and you OK it.
Five jobs done. Then more. Each one sends a little burst of XP up into the air like a firework, and your agents start leveling up. You get your first skill point and spend it, and an agent's eyes glow a little brighter. It learned something. It's proud. Let it be proud.
Somewhere around here, you notice your inbox has a bottom. Like, an actual bottom. You can see it. The swamp is drained. The crew is a little muddy and very pleased with itself.
This is the field. It's not glamorous. It's where the real stuff happens. And your crew loves it here.
