Book I · The Guild
Ch.4 Pro mode
This chapter has 8 quests. You clear them by doing real work with your crew. Each one gives your agents XP.
There's a door in the Guild Hall you've walked past a hundred times. It's got a little sign on it, glowing in blue runes: "Pros only." Today it opens.
Inside is the Scriptorium, where the crew writes down how things are done. Not in some dusty rulebook. In routines. Your first one is simple: the steps you always do, in the order you always do them, saved so nobody has to remember them ever again. Then you save another. Then a third. Your crew now has a playbook, and the playbook has your handwriting all over it.
Pro mode isn't about doing more. It's about doing it right the first time. Ten jobs clean, no redo. Five documents with zero mistakes. Skegy reads every one with a magnifying glass, slowly lowers it, and gives a single, very rare nod. Frame that nod. It's basically a medal.
The crew starts running on its own rhythm. The weekly promo goes out. The content calendar fills itself in. Reminders fire on time, so nobody misses a visit, a call, a deadline. You notice you're spending less time pushing and more time checking. That's the whole point of the Guild. Your agents carry the load. You stay the one who says "yes."
Twenty-five to-dos OK'd. Your agents walk a little taller now. Their gear has scratches. Their capes have stories. When a new task shows up, they don't panic. They look at each other, grab the right routine, and get moving.
You didn't just build a crew. You taught it how you work.
